Defended campaign finance reforms passed by Akron voters winning at the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati Ohio in Frank v. City of Akron. The Court found that $100 per election is a permissable limit. The Court also found that money is property not speech.
Supported and helped develop the legal language to prevent the sale of public utilities to private corporations in the City of Akron.
Served two terms on Akron City Council where he challenged the legality and constitutionality of City Council's actions, even when faced with overwhelming opposition by entrenched politicians.
