I actually have quite a long history of public service. Beginning my professional career with a foray into local politics, many people know me as a former Akron City Council Representative who served two terms, fighting corruption and the abuse of power of local governments in Northeast Ohio. During my time on the city council, I had a lot of legal questions and felt that the city law department was not giving me accurate answers so I went to law school to learn the answers for myself.
After law school, my political interests took a slightly different turn. Looking back into the questionable state of the city law department, I discovered fraudulent behaviors from members on the council and worked to recover funds lost at their hands. When it came time to decide whether or not to take on the mayor and sue the city, I took the opportunity to fight for justice, and ultimately became a sort of local celebrity, if you will.
Since then, I've been building a mission-oriented practice to hold local, state government, and corporations accountable. Anchored by a passion for helping to give ordinary people the power to stand up to government abuses, corporate fraud, and bank malfeasance. Being driven by the idea of providing high-quality service to those in need of legal help, my firm and areas of practice have grown over the years into many areas.
When you choose to work with me, it’s not like what you see on TV. I care about our collaboration and delivering the best outcome I can.
